Yukon Kitty ia a 14 year old standardbred mare who LOVES people! She is registered,but the papers were lost by previous owners,who abused her.When I first saw her, I didn't know if she'd make it through the night.She was cut up so bad.Her previous owners were drunks,and they got on her drunk and rode her through a barbed wire fence. She was hurt severely and had muscle and tissue damage to her chest and front legs.The people who did this to her fed about once a week. She was about 600 pounds underweight and so weak that she could hardly stand. The vet went to sew her up.The next day,the people rod her into a pole and cut her open again. The vet called the Humane Society and they took her away from him.That's when I bought her.For nearly 2 months, I couldn't ride her because of her injuries.I've had her for about a year and a half, and she is in condition and very,very friendly.In fact, she's a bit,well,on the chubby side,not meaning to insult her.We go on a trail ride almost every day,and she gets a bath once a week in warm weather.She has sound feet,and her injuries don't affect her at all. She loads,clips,shoes,and bathes easily.She has a brand on her neck and a tattoo in her lip. She has been shown.She can be spirited if asked to be, but is calm most of the time. She is traffic safe.She needs everyday attention, and in return will be a loving and loyal horse.
