"BR" is a special pony in that she is only one of 81 Harnessbred breed in the world. Harnessbreds are an original cross of a Standardbred/Trottingbred reg breed and a Miniature . They were developed to enchance the small equine athletic ability and primarily bred for small equine harness racing. As it turns out, not only are they excellent harness racing ponies, but they excell in the show ring as well in roadster driving and pleasure driving. The ponies that are over the miniature size will make excellent youth riding ponies and many will be skilled in hunter/jumper. "BR" is one of them. NOt only is she beautiful and flashy, she has a wonderful temperment, easy to work with and yet she will be competitive.
Her sire is a National Hall of Fame 1st generation Harnessbred registerd with the ASPC/AMHR and his Hall of Fame is in Roadster Driving. Her dam, Spirit of RL Street" is a gorgeous 1st generation Harnessbred chestnut pinto and her registreation as is BR's is pending with the new National Show Pony Registry formed last year as a division of the American Shetland Pony Club. "BR's" grandam on her bottom side was a famous registered Trottingbred mare. She drove in 305 harness races and won 285 of them, quite a record!
