| Notes : |
This gelding has truly earned his reputation as child-safe. He will tolerate ANYTHING, and his only vice is laziness. An experienced rider can easily put him to work (I've had him over 2'6" jumps, and have even used him for herding), but the less riding experience you have the slower he goes. I purchased this horse out of pure pity (he was skin and bones and only had about half of his hair). When the vet found his problems (lice, mange, and a severely infected tooth) he made a remarkable recovery. I kept expecting him to find his energy, but it has been about a year sense he has been up to weight (well maybe slightly over weight), and in that time he has proven to truly be a remarkable horse. He is submissive in the field and easy for anyone to handle. I have trained numerous people how to handle, tack, and a ride a horse thanks to his calm manners. You truly can't find a horse with this temperment under the age of 25, but this 14 y/o will give you years of usefulness. He truly is a gem, and I hate to sell him, but I'm up to 14 horses with 2 on the way, and honestly I'm just running out of time. I have pictures available upon request and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, just E-mail or call for more information.
