Werbellin is a class#1 German State Stallion imported to stand for the USA in 2000. His 2003 stud fee is $1,833, including the booking fee of $500.00. Early booking discounts and Premium Mare, Multiple MAre discounts are availalble. Werbellin is a son of WELTMEYER, the Hanoverian stallion of the Century. His Dam line is from SPS Lady Laurin, through Geduld. This line has given States Premium Mares for both Dressage and the German Jumper program to Hanover. The mare line continues in the offspring to produce horses for breeding in dressage and the German Jumper program. The Dam line goes back to the well known Lanthan, who produced both riding and jumping horses that are well represented in German FN statistics for competition.
Werbellin has proved himself Internationally in the Young Jumper& Materiale classes in 1998 & 1999 prior to importation to the USA. He won 19 out of 33 classes entered in Germany and pinned in the top 4 in the majority of the rest. His young German offspring have won States Premium Mare titles and competed to the Ratje Neihbur Show level,as well as in Material Prufing classes with success. Werbellin is listed in the German FN Dressage sire rankings for these successes. Hi offspring are known to have extremeley good rideability with a friendly and cooperative nature toward trainers and riders.
Werbellin is approved for breeding with the German Oldenburg Verband, German Hanoverian Verband, American Hanoverian Society, ISR/Oldenburg N.A, Rheinland Pfalz Saar International, and American Warmblood Society. Today Werbellin is trained and ridden by Christopher Hickey in Dressage. He is confirmed to PRix St.Georges Level and is working Intermediare I under the guidance of World Champion rider and trainer, Ulla Salzgeber. Werbellin has proved a winning Dressage Career in the USA through 4th level, and will continue competiton at Prix St.Georges in Florida 2003/2004.
