Notes : Gentle enough for a beginner, competitive
spirit for more advanced. Pleasure or should be ideal
for speed events. Can turn on a dime and has incredible
endurance! Sadly needs to go due to my poor health.
She needs a home where she is used to her potential.

Additional information:
Its a shame that you are only allowed to check 5 of the above boxes, as i honestly see her potential expanded above the 5 boxes i have selected.
Current on de-worming and vaccinations, minus the WNV. Gets along nicely with other horses. She is a very level headed mare, though does have energy. My 6 yr son can ride her, but we will longe her first. We however, can just hop on her without a problem. We had purchased her for my husband in 1999 as his first horse and she has been wonderful for him. He is a VERY beginner rider and Sierra has been very patient and forgiving. She has only been used as a backyard pleasure horse with us. We have trailered her to our local indoor arena to ride in nasty weather and she has always been fine, no problems at all with the arena or being around different horses while working in the ring. She has been riden on endurance 'play days', pleasure trail rides, at the ocean, on busy roads (and along Freeways) and to goof around and chase our neighbors cows, all with no probs. We have have also taken her out many times trail riding by herself without any problems. She is fine around dogs. I had a baby last year and so I had sent her down to a trainer in Sonoma County last fall to continue riding her and keeping her 'in tune' since My husband doesnt like to ride w/o me and i had planned to be riding again soon. Unfortunately things aren't turning out for me like i had hoped due to problems on my c-section site, and Sierra is back out in the field again doing nothing except giving local kids an occasional ride. She has currently been sitting in the pasture
for about 5/6 months and i'd really like to see her being used. The lady riding her for me in Sonoma county seemed to think she could possibly excel in endurance or gymkhana (spelling?) events.
Sierra has a wonderful, never ending supply of energy, not hyper psycho energy, just lots of 'go' and has a beautiful sharp/quick turn on her. Loads and trailers nicely, ties, bathes etc... The only real negative honestly is lack of time.. like mentioned above she is just sitting. While she is still easy to handle etc., she isnt as 'polite' right now as she is when she is handled daily. My husband rides her in a western saddle, though there have been no probs bareback or under an english saddle the few times we have done so. He uses an O ring plain ol' cheap snaffle on her when he uses a bridle... usually he is too lazy and just leaves the halter on her to ride. She really is a nice little horse. I hate to get rid of her, but its just not fair for her to sit when she is capable of so much more.
