Annie has produced a very nice warmblood colt, she was purchased from a Warmblood breeder who was reducing their herd.
She was a very good broodmare and produced an athletic, handsome large colt. Previous to that she was a pack horse in the Dakotas and previous to that she was a race horse!
She was purchased under the understanding that she would be suitable for a 10 year old girl, who needed to build confidence and experience.
This was not the case, as the girl needed a quieter horse. Annie lunges in side reins very well, listens to voice commands on the lunge and has been good to use as a lunge line lesson horse for her owners.
She will walk trot canter on command and has learned bending and flexing exercises, leg yeilding, turn on the haunches, ect.
She has a very smooth canter, shows a willingness toward piaffe when collected quietly, and is a very willing horse when ridden consistantly . Has had some round pen training.
The young rider is a little timid and sometimes Annie will take advantage of this by spinning 180, stopping or a little buck, espc. if being ridden away from barn buddies. She has pulled back when tied
This is handled well by a more experienced rider and she settles down well with a confident rider and makes a very nice lower level dressage horse. Owners will consider trade for a quiet, 4-H type horse.
We will be 100% honest with all her positive and negative attributes, as we do not want to misrepresent her to anyone, as she misrepresented to us.
She will be the dream horse to the right combination of horse and rider. She loads great on a stock type or slant load trailer, though she has a problem with straight load two horse trailers! ((being honest here!)):D I have listed all the possible negatives about her that I can think of- being 100% honest.
