Jetty runs him in a combination ring gag, however, I could put a shoelace in this guys mouth & he would still go out & do his job, he really doesn't care what is in his mouth and doesn't run through a bit. He runs with or without a tie down, average to low headed, not run high headed at all.
He is NOT a barrel hitter, & will work well on harder ground, smaller pens, but tends to like a deeper, bigger size pen. He will stop at the end of an alley, turn off inside a pen or run back out through an alley at the end of a run & he will circle start or run up a chute.
He rides around the grounds like a gentleman, really a nice quiet, easy
going horse, would be excellent High School Rodeo horse or Open/Jackpot.
He is solid as far as his pattern, you can sit on him point him towards the barrels & just sit & let him walk, trot or lope you through the pattern. He has NEVER refused, fussed, ducked or ran up the rail, he is very honest.
He is an awesome pole horse with 19 second potential, runs 20-21 sec w/250 lb rider.
He has also tracked steers & been worked in the rope box.
