Queenie is probably the most gentle horse I have ever met. I bought her on Valentine's Day of this year in hopes of using her as a hunter and later breeding her, but her trot is more high stepping than I can use in hunt classes, and we are also probably moving (she is too heavy for the ramps in our trailer) so that is why we are selling this little sweetheart. I have never owned a sweeter horse, however. When I bought her she had been sat on and followed other horses for trail "riding" but had no idea about legs and little about reins, but when I bought her I got up on her back about three days after she got here, and she was an angel. No halter, no bridle, nothing. She was good and quiet even when our dominant mare started nipping and sniffing her all over, and I know most of my other horses, particularly unbroke ones, would have kicked her or bucked me off. The only thing Queenie was thoroughly trained in was driving, but I haven't done that with her. She is easy to handle and loved to be brushed, but is a little pushy on the ground due to not being used much until now. She is loving and kind and wants someone to love her in return. Could do dressage with a bit of work, probably first and training levels. Has done leg yielding, but I wasn't trying to and she isn't trained for it. She stands quietly as long as someone is doing something with her, but she has a short attention span. Anyone can ride her if they are being ponied or led around, but I recommend an intermediate rider at least for finishing out her riding, though she doesn't buck, kick, rear, shy, spook, etc. Very quiet and sweet, but she loves her grain! Not dominant unless someone is picking on her. Easy to catch, no chasing or kicking.
