If you want to blow and go and compete CDE or event - this is your mare. This mare never runs out of energy, even now while she is well into her pregnancy. She is a sensitive mare who needs a calm handler with confidence. She will work her heart out for you as long as you will direct her. If you are an angry, flighty or disorganized person - don't call for Bertha. This mare is smart and willing but has lots of spunk. She works single, double or 3 abreast in harness. She is upset if she sees or hears the others working and she is not part of the action - get it, she is a workaholic! I love this mare's spirit and heart and want to see her go to a serious competition home. She has been professionally evaluated by a CDE trainer and is said to be upper level material. She is getting the quiet long drives, for settling purposes, around our subdivision but needs many more. Quiet is the key word in the above sentence. She is traffic and dog safe! This mare is bred for a mule foal around April. She is current on all vaccinations including WNV. She stands quietly for farrier work, harness, grooming, bathing, vaccinations, worming, etc. She loads great but likes her friends in the trailer with her, she has a tendency to paw. She handles easily, don't get me wrong, there is nothing wild about this mare, she just loves to work with a happy energetic attitude, ears pricked and ready to go. She is not for the beginner, she is for a serious worker or competitor. You may call us before 9 pm at 979-694-6854 or e-mail me at alysha@iolbv.com. I do have some photos of her that I can e-mail you. I forgot to say it above, but Bertha is a big, full-bodied mare - you will love her. We are neg. on her price.
