Poco is a sweet athletic gelding with three nice gaits, who gets along well with people and other horses. He loads, leads, clips, ties & cross-ties, and is great for the vet and farrier.
We have done an extensive amount of ground work in his 2yr old year - he halts square, pivots 360 in either direction, backs, yields shoulder and haunches, and does basic trail obstacles - bridges, poles (over and through), plastic, etc. He has been started lunging in a bosal under saddle, and has been sat on once (he was rather ho hum about it!). He's smart and learns fast. He shows some cowiness with our goats, but also won't hurt them.
Unfortunately, we have too many horses and don't have the time to devote to him that he needs. We'll be trying to get him under saddle during July and August; here's the perfect young gentleman to start your way! With his super pedigree and a great mind, he'll excel at whatever you choose for him as a job!! Super as a 4H, youth or amateur horse!!
