Maverick is sound, honest, with a good work ethic, not flighty or hyper. He has beautiful, lofty gaits that are suitable for dressage, and would clean up at the Arab dressage shows. He is versatile and has been shown Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Training Level Dressage and has done Drill Team. He is solidly at First Level in dressage (although he has only been shown Training Level) and is schooling all of the Second Level movements. He is easy in his lateral work, and with an experienced rider could easily be brought along to Second Level yet this season. He has been schooling over gymnastic jumping lines and little courses with his Novice owner. He has pretty jump in him, but isn't always the bravest until he's gone around once. Loads, clips, Hacks quietly alone or in a group, stands quietly in the crossties, gets along with everyone in the pastures, and is a pleasant, easy horse to be around.
